On Wednesday, October 21st at 7 PM Combo in Turin hosts the presentation of the book “Intervista con la New Media Art. L’osservatorio Digicult tra arte, design e cultura digitale”, recently published by Mimesis.
Marco Mancuso, author of the book and founder of the platform Digicult, will be in conversation with Matteo Milaneschi (Nationhood) about the evolution and impact of technologies and sciences on art, design and society.
The newly published title, investigates into the contemporary artistic practice in its relationship with technology and scientific research, starting from the experience of the Digicult observatory, one of the most important independent international platforms on the relationship between technologies and art within contemporary culture.
The incomes of the book will be donated for the research on clinical and social effects of Covid-19, carried out by UNIMORE’s Neurosciences and technologies Center.
Marco Mancuso is a critic, curator and independent researcher. He’s the founder and director of Digicult. He’s a professor at the NABA Academy in Milan and at the Bergamo Academy of Fine Arts. He curates exhibitions and projects focused on the relationship between art, design, technology and science and worked with the most influential Institutions in the field. His book “Arte, Tecnologia e Scienza” was also published by Mimes Edizioni in 2018.
