Milan, Milan, Milan...to us, the one thing that represents this city is the courtyard. In everything from art to architecture, culture and fashion, the city is a hub of innovation. Yet, no matter how fast life seems to move, there’s always space for the past—literally—with the courtyard. Our new location, housed in a banister house on the Navigli neighborhood, had to have one. These sleepy corners of the city area way of life. Discover what it has to offer.
Opening September 2019
Amenities is hotel speak for cool stuff to do. At Combo, it makes more sense to call them our “wandering soul”: we are part hostel, and part bar, where you can sip something pre- or post-dinner. We are part art gallery, aspiring to the timeless. We are part restaurant, interpreting local cuisine through a prism of international flavors. We are part radio station tuned to the heterodox frequencies of our community (which also makes us part greenhouse, too, since that’s where the DJ booth is located). And we are part courtyard, an eternal sanctuary which, in this city of constant motion, offers respite and renewal.
Our approach to food is this: a menu is not just a menu, it’s a meeting place. Tradition doesn’t belong to one person, it’s a mingling of experiences. And food. Food isn’t just something we eat, it’s a way to make contact, a reason to reach across the table. From our common areas to our menu, Combo’s philosophy is based on sharing. Here, we feast on conversation.
Ok, here’s the stats: we offer basic rooms for 3, 4 or 6 people. Every room is fully equipped with everything a traveler needs. Plus, the location couldn’t be better: a picturesque banister house just a few steps away from the canals at the heart of the Navigli neighborhood.
Whether a single bed or a whole room, your booking includes access to our common lounge, a communal space where you can cook, eat, read, do your laundry, use Wifi, or simply relax. The basics are covered, but we also threw in 24-hour self-check-in and a luggage deposit on the ground floor and lower floor. Stuff like that just makes life easier.
