⟡ Camille will explore how dance can help us notice grief in our bodies, dialogue with it and allow for its change or release. Mourning and death are rather taboo topics in many parts of the Western world, and as a result, we have few public spaces to process grief and distress. Dance is a powerful healing technology and can provide a means to grieve publicly or privately. The workshop is a space to experience dance as an access point to grieving. The workshop will contain a context, somatic practices, a dance-based mourning ritual, and some integration exercises to conclude.
