On Oct. 6, at Combo Venezia, Valeria Montebello will present her new novel “It Happens at Night” (Feltrinelli), an intense story that explores the complexity of interpersonal relationships, including broken friendships, uncertain loves and the pervasive influence of social media in the daily lives of millennials.

⟡ The protagonist is Azzurra, a young woman suspended between difficult romantic relationships and a friendship that has left an indelible mark. After a turbulent time in Cambridge during Erasmus, her bonds with Carlo and Alba crack, leading to difficult choices and years of reflection on what has been lost.

Valeria is also the author of the podcast “The Sex of Others,” produced by Chora Media, where she tackles issues related to contemporary sexuality with irony and lucidity, drawing a tragic and hilarious portrait of today's relationship dynamics.
