Magica Movida lands in Turin for a special night at Combo on Sunday, June 8.

For our first edition in the city, we're thrilled to host Esa—a standout selector known to all Dekmantel fans—alongside the always vibrant crew of Devozioni Baleari.

⟡ Esa Williams, South African-born and London-based, blends deep-rooted cultural heritage with future-facing sounds. DJ, producer, and curator of the Aweh label, Esa’s work spans collaborations with Kamazu, Special Touch, Forest Law, and his sister Tasneem. His tracks have appeared on Dekmantel, Rush Hour, and Brownswood.

⟡ Devozioni Baleari, founded in 2022, brings a raw and genre-fluid vision to Turin’s nightlife. Rooted in Italo-disco, funk, and house, they aim to move bodies and minds without borders between mainstream or underground.

⟡ Magica Movida was born as a tribute to the cosmic era’s unsung heroes—starting with tapes inherited from DJ Peppe. Those recordings, often sold straight after club nights and played in parking lot parties, inspired our unique, genre-free identity.
