Thursday, May 16, the Afro music review returns with a the band Korishanti.

⟡ The Korishanti project (Kori from hearts in Sicilian dialect, Shanti meaning peace in Hindi = hearts in peace) was originally born as an instrumental trio in 2009 in Turin, from an idea of sitarist Michele Campanella and singer-songwriter Franco Rapillo aka Cico Moreno, longtime friends. Over time the two begin to work on the lyrics landing on the song form and coming to increase the organic to propose an electric set. The idea is to combine committed lyrics with music that mixes different sounds, cultures and generations. The result is a highly original kaleidoscope of sounds and colors.
