⟡ KAPOTE aka Mathias Modica, DJ, music researcher, producer and creative mind behind Toy Tonics records. Before creating Toy Tonics (with two friends) Modica used to make music under the name of MUNK und run Gomma records (2000 - 2015). Gomma was the label that defined the Y2K Indie dance sound along imprints like DFA and Output records. Modica released music under his 2 aliases Munk and Kapote but also produced music for and with artists like James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Peaches, The Rammellzee, Nancy Whang, Coeo, Cody Currie and the first 3 albums of WhoMadeWho.

⟡ Virginie aka Gee Lane is a Dj and vinyl collector with a refined taste for the old and new beats. Her passion for music emerged during the 90s, moving from Caracas to New York, where she spent her time exploring in depth the musical culture of the city. In the past two years, she has catched the attention of the most important music festivals in Barcelona, playing at Primavera Sound and DGTL in 2019 and at Sonar 2022. Virginie is also part of Toy tonics family and responsible for the artist bookings at the radio based in berlin & Belgrade D59B a community radio where she's showcases the finest of djs and producers around Europe.. Together with Troya Modet they created the powerful duo “Shakti Alliance” where they bring parties to a boil.
